Young multiple British motorcycling champion Bradley Ray will undertake a new challenge in 2010.

The 12-year-old from Lydd competed in the Spanish 70cc Metrokit Series last season, which is widely acknowledged as the stepping stone towards World Championship racing, finishing the series in fifth place, with a best-placed finish of third.

He is already attracting the attention of Roger Keys of FAB Racing, who also manages Moto GP 125cc rider Scott Redding.

Bradley, pictured in action, started racing at six and has won five British Minimoto Championships and added the British Metrakit GP50 and GP70cc titles this season

With Keys’ help, he will race a new bike next season as he demonstrates his talent in the European 125cc Pre GP Series.

The competition includes a round in a support event at the British Motorcyling GP at Silverstone in June.

He will also compete in the televised British MRO 125cc Championship.

Bradley’s father Kevin said: "This help from FAB Racing in terms of the bike and advice is a must to give Brad a good chance of becoming a European champion."

He added: "We are looking for sponsors to help with the running costs, which include transportation, tyres, entries and spare parts."
