High Halden shooting: Suspects released on bail

Two men arrested in connection with a double shooting in a Kent village have been released on bail.

The suspects, aged 45 and 29, were taken into custody following the incident at High Halden near Ashford on Thursday.

Armed police were called to Plurenden Road and Marten Park at 11am and a cordon was set up around the area with roadblocks from the A28.

The operation lasted eight hours.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses.

The men have been bailed until January 4 pending further enquiries.
