Steve Lovell continues to chase three new signings but has warned them that the clock is ticking.

The Ashford manager (pictured) has given the unnamed transfer targets – two midfielders and a striker – another week to decide whether to join the Ryman League Division 1 South side.

Lovell has already brought in some top signings, including Ian Pulman and Adam Flanagan, and wants just a few more new faces to turn last season’s strugglers into a team capable of competing at the top next season.

He said: "It’s down to them now to make their minds up.

"I’ll give them another week. We’ve got the majority of the squad in place now and want to have everything in place as soon as we can.

"With the players we’ve already brought in, we’ve got a good mix and looking forward to the new season now."
