A teenager was rushed to hospital on Wednesday afternoon after he was struck by a car outside his school.

The 15-year-old Towers School pupil was taken to the William Harvey Hospital after being injured as he crossed the Faversham Road.

Police were called to the scene just before 3pm and the road was closed for about an hour while officers dealt with the incident.
