Two children hurt in separate car accidents in Ashford

Two children have been injured in separate road crashes in Ashford.

A six-year-old boy was hurt when the car he was in crashed in Beaver Road, Ashford, at about 7.45pm on Wednesday. Three people had been in the Citroen Xsara and no other vehicle was involved.

The child, who had been in the back seat, suffered one minor injury and was taken to the town's William Harvey Hospital as a precaution.

In the second accident a 13-year-old girl was hurt after two vans crashed.

This happened at Mock Lane, Chilmington Green, Great Chart, just before 8am today (Apr 30).

A Vauxhall Astra and Ford Transit collided and the girl suffered minor injuries.
