FOLKESTONE Running Club’s senior men had their lead in the South East Road relay competition cut to eight points by hosts Ashford and District RR at Victoria Park last week.

The final round of the five-round competition is in Canterbury on Tuesday, July 8.

However, Folkestone A cannot be beaten and need just a point to clinch the title.

Folkestone also lead in the veteran men 50 section from Canterbury Harriers A and the senior women should also take their trophy with a six-point advantage over Thanet A.

Invicta A lead in the men’s 40 section from Deal A and the Vet 45 women from Folkestone A while Harriers lead the women’s 35 section from Deal A and Ashford and District A.

Thanet A have taken the men’s 60 class from Canterbury A.
