Police release CCTV images of suspected robber who stole bank cards and phones from victims in Dane John Gardens, Canterbury

Officers investigating a late-night robbery in a park have released CCTV images of a suspect.

It happened in the Dane John Gardens in Canterbury last month when a man approached a group in their late teens and early 20s and threatened them.

Two of the victims reported being forced to hand over their phones and bank cards as well as a pair of headphones.

They fled the area and were briefly followed by the robber before he turned and headed back towards the park.

The incident happened between 2am and 3am on Friday, May 19.

Detectives from the Kent Crime Squad have carried out a number of enquiries since the robbery was reported, which includes the review of available CCTV.

They have now released two images of the same man who they believe could have important information to assist the investigation.
