CCTV issued after sexual assault by River Stour in Canterbury

Police have issued CCTV of a man they'd like to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted.

Officers have released two images following the early hour incident near the River Stour in Canterbury on Saturday, February 22.

The victim has claimed she was walking along Barton Mill Road when a man spoke to her.

Shortly afterwards she was assaulted near the River Stour.

The incident is understood to have taken place at some point between 1.15am and 2.30am.

Anyone who recognises the man pictured, or who witnessed anything suspicious in the Barton Mill Road area during the early hours of February 22, is asked to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/35061/20.
