Child seriously injured in Queens Road in Aylesham after being knocked off scooter while crossing

A child has been seriously injured after being hit by a car while crossing the road on their scooter.

The crash happened on Queens Road in Aylesham at 5.45pm yesterday involving a silver Nissan Qashqai.

The injured child was taken to a London hospital.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries into the incident and would like to hear from people who were in the area at the time of the collision or if they might have dashcam footage.

They would also like to speak to the driver of a red estate car which was reported to be travelling along the road at the time.
