Dream comes true for pentathlete Harland

PENTATHLETE Georgina Harland, from Waltham, near Canterbury, secured a bronze medal for Great Britain in the Olympic Games.

Harland, a former pupil at Benenden school, near Cranbrook, said: "To get a medal at the Olympics is a dream come true. I am really realy, really chuffed."

Harland won the World cup final in Athens just before Christmas, and is the reigning European champion.
