Teenage road victim Will Roberts has regained consciousness after two weeks in a coma.

The 17-year-old former Canterbury High School pupil, from Querns Road, - known as Big Will - was hit by a car in Dover last month after pushing his girlfriend Danielle Watson, 16, out of the way.

His sister Natalie Drury, 16, said the family remained collectively strong and wished him a speedy recovery.

She said: "It was amazing when he opened his eyes.

"Mum has been by his bedside every day and he is going in the right direction now.

"He hasn't said anything yet but he knew who we all were.

"So many people have given messages to him on our tribute website."

Will's favourite DJ, Ironik, added his own special get-well message at a city nightclub last week.
