Handbags stolen in Canterbury burglaries

Handbags containing cash and cards have been stolen in two break-ins in Canterbury.

The burglars targeted two homes in Heaton Road some time between 11.30pm on Friday 11 November and 7.15am on Saturday 12 November.

Police believe the crimes are linked.

A large brown leather handbag containing a blue purse, a small amount of cash and bank cards were stolen from one house.

A tan-coloured leather handbag, a black leather purse, a small amount of cash and bank cards were stolen from a second house.

Kent Police is currently running a campaign called Operation Castle to help prevent burglaries and target those responsible.
