"Many families don't have cars to go buy bottled water. We spent £18 on bottled water last night and shared some with other neighbours."

Residents woke up this morning to find five litres of water on their doorsteps.

Severn Trent Water operates the supply. It apologised for the interruption to running water and said the supply would be restored this morning.
