Two drivers were cut free from their cars after a two vehicle crash near Sturry on Friday.

The accident on the A291 Calcott Hill, between Sweechgate and Hicks Forstal Road at 7.30am, closed the road for four hours while emergency services attended.

A Herne Bay man driving a black Vauxhall Corsa and a woman in a blue Toyota Corolla were taken to the QEQM Hospital in Margate. Their injuries were serious, but not life threatening.

Officers would like to speak to anyone in the area at the time who saw the cars before the collision or may have any information to help the inquiry.

They should contact Kent Police on 01622 690690.
