Man in suicide bid 'stable'

A MAN is recovering in hospital after a suicide attempt in Querns Road, Canterbury early today.

The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother at Margate. It is thought he tried to hang himself.

Police, firefighters and the ambulance service all attended the scene at around 1.30am.

The man’s condition has been described as stable. He has not been named.

A police spokesman said: “We can confirm that we attended an attempted suicide at Querns Road. There were no suspicious circumstances and this was a domestic incident."

He added: “We now consider that this is a closed incident.”
