Man stabbed in broad daylight in Canterbury park taken to London hospital

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in broad daylight in a park.

Police are hunting a suspect after the attack on a footbridge between Tannery Field and Bingley Court in Canterbury at about 12.15pm yesterday.

The victim, who is in his 30s, was taken to a London hospital with an injury consistent with a stab wound. His condition is described as “serious”.

Following the alleged attack, detectives are now appealing for information.

The suspect is described as being a white male with short, curly black hair. He was also wearing a black tracksuit.

An investigation into the incident has commenced, including examination of CCTV footage in the area and forensic analysis at the scene.
