Thirty-six aged from seven to 16 were chosen from the 150 hopefuls who auditioned for a singing and dancing role.

Pantomime producer Emily Wood said: “This is one of those years when we have a fresh intake of girls who have not taken part in the panto before which is great because it is such a wonderful opportunity for them.”

Among those appearing are: Maddison Ahearne, from Holmscroft Road, Herne Bay; Jessica Cohen, Seymour Avenue, Whitstable; Sophie Collins, Longtail Rise, Herne Bay; Paige Emery, Durham Close, Canterbury; Rebecca Harrison, Norton Avenue, Herne; Alice Lee, Grasmere Road, Whitstable; Paige MacKenzie, Columbia Avenue, Whitstable; Ashlie Manning, Deansway Avenue, Sturry; Katie Potter, Grimthorpe Avenue, Whitstable; Sanchia and Samantha Rusike, Bifrons Road, Bekesbourne; Holly Sargeant, Cornwall Road, Canterbury; Simona Thompson, Curtiswood Park Road, Herne; Laura and Heidi Thorpe, Cornwallis Avenue, Herne Bay and Chloe Witton, Sherwood Close, Herne Bay.
