Police investigation launched after man found injured in Sturry

A man was airlifted to London hospital after he reportedly fell from a fence.

Police are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident which happened in Island Road, Sturry, last night.

Officers were called at about 7.30pm where a man was found with injuries believed to have been caused by falling from a fence.

Paramedics and an air ambulance also attended and the man was flown to a London hospital.

A police spokesman said: "Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing."

The man's injuries are understood not to be life-threatening.
