Fight outside The Cuban nightclub sees police use Taser and man charged with carrying offensive weapon

Police were forced to use a Taser and arrest three men following a fight outside a Canterbury nightclub.

Officers were called to The Cuban in the city's high street to deal with the night-time disturbance.

Ricky Hodkins, 42, who was said to be carrying a metal tent peg, was charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

He is due before Margate Magistrates' Court in a fortnight.

Two other men were arrested on the night, including one in his 20s who was issued with a penalty notice for disorder.

Another man in his 30s was released without charge.

Officers were called out to the incident at 10.15pm on Saturday.

Police confirmed a Taser was discharged.
