A man from Herne Bay died last night (Saturday) after overturning his car on the A28.

The 50-year-old was driving towards Canterbury between Birchington and St Nicholas-at-Wade when he’s believed to have lost control and hit the central reservation at 7.20pm.

He was rushed to the QEQM Hospital in Margate but died shortly after arriving.

His car – a black Fiat Ulysee – is understood to have been the only vehicle involved in the crash.

PC Mick Sayer said: “We are appealing for anyone who saw the collision to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit appeal line on 01622 798538.”
