CROWDS of people attended Remembrance Day services around the district on Sunday (November 8).
War veterans down to very young members of youth groups, including Beavers, Cubs and Brownies, joined councillors, clergy, representatives of other organisations and members of the public to pay their respects to all those who have died in war.
Richard Eldridge, chairman of Herne Bay’s Royal British Legion branch, said: “I was amazed at the turn-out. Last year’s was good but on Sunday we had even more people at the war memorial.”
