Teens shaken after takeaway assault

Two teenagers have been left bruised and shaken after being assaulted near a Canterbury park.
The 15-year-olds were attacked in Old Ruttington Lane on Wednesday evening, shortly after collecting a pizza from a nearby takeaway.
Three girls and a boy shouted and swore at them in a park outside before they collected the food.
After collecting their pizza, six more male teenagers approached them as they walked back along Old Ruttington Lane. One of the males shouted at one of the 15-year-olds, before punching him in the face and kicking him. He suffered minor facial injuries and was left shaken by the incident. The other 15-year-old was also assaulted, while the third friend managed to run away.
Following the assault, the group of teenagers ran away across the park. They’re described as average build and around 5ft 4in tall. The attack, which is believed to be unprovoked, took place between 6.40pm and 7pm.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact PC Ashley McMahan on 01227 868262.
