University of Kent security guards 'assaulted' at Canterbury campus

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting two security guards at a university campus.

Police were called to a report of a disturbance at the University of Kent in University Road, Canterbury.

During the incident at about 8.40pm last Wednesday, a woman - aged is in her 20s and from Canterbury - is reported to have have assaulted two security guards.

She was arrested on suspicion of assault and has since been released, pending further enquiries.

No serious injuries were reported.

The University of Kent refused to comment.
