A woman had to be cut free from the SUV after it flipped opposite an Aldi supermarket at just before 5.15pm.

Firefighters stabilised the vehicle before using hydraulic rescue equipment to cut away at the wreckage so paramedics could reach and assess the woman.

Police officers attended the scene to assist with traffic control.

The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance for further treatment, but police say no serious injuries were reported.
