A MAN charged with the attempted murder of a his partner in a Kent city has been remanded in custody.

Oscar Romero, 23, was arrested on Tuesday morning after 28-year-old Chloe Shimmin was seen running out of a house in South Street, off the Sturry Road at Canterbury, with her hair soaked in blood.

She had been stabbed. She is said to be in a stable condition at the QEQM Hospital at Margate.

Romero, of South Street, did not appear in court today. The case has been transferred to Maidstone Crown Court on October 5.
