Kent will start the 2023 season with a home County Championship Division 1 match against Northamptonshire.

The four-day season opener will take place at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, over the Easter weekend, from Thursday, April 6.

Kent will play six County Championship games over a seven-week period in April and May. Canterbury will host Essex from April 20 and Hampshire from May 11.

Matt Walker’s men will also be hoping for some capital gains in the opening block of fixtures with trips to Lord’s (April 27) and The Oval (May 18) to take on Middlesex and Surrey respectively.

Kent Spitfires start their Vitality Blast matches under the Canterbury lights against Gloucestershire on Wednesday, May 24.

They then play a further six Blast matches, including four at Canterbury, over the next fortnight before squeezing in a County Championship clash with Surrey at Canterbury from Sunday, June 11.

Straight after that, there are Blast trips to Lord’s and Bristol in consecutive days with a total of five more T20 matches before another four-day sandwich when Kent travel to Northamptonshire from Sunday, June 25.

They then conclude their Vitality Blast group campaign under lights at home to Sussex Sharks on Friday, June 30 and under lights at Somerset on Sunday, July 2.

Kent have another block of three County Championship games, including against Warwickshire from Monday, July 10.

Spitfires then start their One-Day Cup defence at Scarborough when Kent visit Yorkshire Vikings on Tuesday, August 1.

Kent’s first scheduled trip to Beckenham – which isn’t due to host any County Championship cricket this summer – is in the One-Day Cup against Leicestershire Foxes on Sunday, August 6. They also host Middlesex seven days later.

The final two home One-Day Cup group games, against Notts Outlaws and Essex Eagles, are at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence on August 17 and 20.

Kent round off a busy schedule with three County Championship matches in September. They host Nottinghamshire on Sunday, September 10, visit Somerset from Tuesday, September 19 and then host Lancashire at Canterbury from Tuesday, September 26.

Beckenham is due to host three Men’s U19s ODI matches between England and Australia on August 26, 28 and 31.
