KEY MAN: Geraint Jones made a big contribution to Kent's win at Truro

KENT have been drawn at home to Gloucestershire in the fourth round of the Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy after Wednesday's hard-earned win over Cornwall.

While Kent were recovering from 83 for five to complete a a five-wicket win over the minor county, their next opponents were making 401 against Bucks on the way to a 324-run victory.

Gloucestershire, three times winners of the competition, including their one-day treble year of 2000, include South African star Jonty Rhodes, who made an unbeaten 87 on Wednesday.

In contrast Kent, set to chase a 50-over target of 141 for victory at Truro, were saved embarrassment against a spirited Cornish side by an unbroken sixth wicket stand worth 58 between Geraint Jones (30 not out) and Matthew Walker (23 not out).

It was left to Walker to end it, with 11 overs in hand, with the only six of a match played out on a damp and turgid pitch.
