Kent are waiting to find out the extent of Martin van Jaarsveld’s shoulder injury.

The 34-year-old dislocated it diving for a ball while fielding for Nashua Titans against Gestetner Diamond Eagles in a Pro 20 game in South Africa last week.

Initial reports from South Africa suggest the prognosis is not as bad as first feared but Kent are still waiting for confirmation.

Kent cricket manager Simon Willis confirmed: "Graham Ford and Robert Key have spoken to Martin and he will be seeing a specialist on Friday for further tests. We will know more then."
