Man arrested in Walderslade Woods charged with attempted murder after disturbance in Henderson Drive, Dartford

A man who has been charged with attempted murder following a disturbance remains in custody ahead of a second court appearance.

Lawrence Kulczycki, 32, of St Edmunds Road, Dartford, has also been charged with dangerous driving, using a vehicle without insurance and intent to pervert the course of justice.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates Court on Tuesday via video link where the case was sent to Maidstone Crown Court. He has been remanded in custody until the hearing on Wednesday, February 10.

His arrest came after officers from Kent Police's road unit stopped a vehicle on Taddington Roundabout near Walderslade Woods yesterday.

The unit tweeted following the incident and said: "Tactical stop Taddington roundabout Medway. 1 in custody for attempt murder, pervert course of justice, dangerous driving and no insurance."

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to a reported disturbance in Henderson Drive, Dartford, at 8.18am. Officers attended the scene and Secamb were also called.

"It was reported that a man left the scene in a vehicle which, at 11.18am, was stopped near Taddington roundabout in Chatham."

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Secamb confirmed an ambulance was called to Henderson Drive to attend to a man suffering face and back injuries. He was taken to Darent Valley Hospital.

The incident happened in and around a terraced home near the Premier off licence.
