Charlton have completed the signing of defender Miguel Angel Llera from MK Dons on a free transfer.

The spanish centre-back becomes Addicks boss Phil Parkinson's first signing of the close season.

The 29-year-old, who made 37 appearances for MK Dons last season, has signed a two-year contract at The Valley.

"I'm delighted Miguel has agreed to sign," said Parkinson. "He's a good age for a centre-half and all the homework we've done and meeting him confirmed he's a good character.

"He's a big centre-half who goes and attacks the ball but has got good use of it with his left foot as well."

Llera has previously played for Gimnastic and Alicante.
