Four fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using hose reel jets.

The fire was extinguished by 10.49am and the fire service’s volunteer response team were on-hand, offering support to affected residents.

Last month, the road was locked down for more than five hours while emergency services responded to concerns for a person.

Police and fire crews were on standby outside a house after its gas supply had to be cut off due to concerns for the person inside.
