Dartford man in the dock after Metropolitan Police officer was in shot in Welling, south east London

A man will appear in court on Monday after a police officer was shot in the hand

Michael Olsen, 51, of Lavinia Road, Dartford, is due before magistrates in Bexley after the incident in Welling, south east London, on Friday night.

He is charged with causing grievous bodily harm, threats to kill, possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition and dangerous driving.

Officers from the Met were called to reports of a car hitting others. The driver fled the scene but was later stopped by police.
