Dartford chairman Dave Skinner said he was delighted with his side’s first season in Blue Square Bet South.

Tony Burman’s side overcame a slow start to finish the season in the top 10 and lifted the Kent Senior Cup after beating Bromley in the final at Princes Park.

The campaign also featured memorable trips to League 1 Port Vale in the first round of the FA Cup and Gateshead in the FA Trophy.

Mr Skinner (pictured) said: "We have got to be happy with a 10th-place finish and to win silverware on our own patch was a great achievement too.

"The plan at the start of the season was to consolidate in the division after promotion and we have done that.

"We want to try and improve every year so next season the aim has got to be the play-offs."

Reflecting on the season, Mr Skinner added: "We started slowly but we did the same thing when we first went into the Ryman League Premier Division and we picked up after that.

"The squad does not need a lot of work over the summer. There are one or two areas which might need tweaking but I’ll leave that up to the manager. I’m glad I don’t have to worry about it."
