Five arrests in dawn drugs raid

FIVE people have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after police carried out an early morning raid in a Kent town.

Two men, aged 53 and 31, and three women, one aged 49 and two 18-year-olds, are being held on suspicion of supplying class A drugs after a warrant was served at the premises in Dartford on Friday morning.

The police operation forms part of a joint police and local authority crackdown to tackle drug crime and associated anti social behaviour.

Det Insp Jon Sutton said: "Drugs will not be tolerated in Kent and anyone involved with them will be arrested. Those caught can expect harsh penalties."
