A woman had her handbag stolen in a car park while shopping in Greenhithe.

Bluewater welcomed back shoppers on Monday as lockdown restrictions eased across the country.

But it was an unhappy experience for one shopper returning to the complex.

The incident happened at 12.30pm on Wednesday when a handbag was reportedly taken from a car, which was parked in the Winter Garden car park.

Last year the shopping centre made changes to it rulebook after a spate of robberies to include details of where shoppers can obtain assistance from security where needed.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time can call Kent Police on 01474 366149 quoting 46/61971/21.
