Large police presence at Dartford Railway Station as patrols target weapons and drugs movements

An operation targetting criminals moving weapons and drugs across the rail network is in place.

A knife arch was erected at at Dartford Railway Station today as part of a cross-county police-led operation.

A sizeable police presence was reported by commuters at the station earlier.

Officers from British Transport Police, Kent Police and the Metropolitan Police were present to conduct searches.

It forms part of Operation Favour, a proactive patrol to detect weapons and drugs being moved across towns in London and north Kent.
