A Hyundai was left on its side after being pursued by police following a suspected petrol theft.

Police were called to London Road, Swanley after reports of a vehicle making a dangerous move in the wrong direction up a slip road to a dual carriageway.

Officers attended at 2.40pm on Monday (November 6) and after a short pursuit the vehicle came to a stop in Watery Lane.

A 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with the suspected theft and alleged driving offences.

He was later passed into the care of officers from the Metropolitan Police Service.
