Man charged after person seen ‘waving gun’ during altercation in William Mundy Way, Dartford

Police have charged a man after a person was seen “waving a gun” during an altercation.

Angelo O’Riordan, of no fixed address, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

The charges were authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service following an investigation by police.

Three people were involved in a dispute on Wednesday, May 24, in William Mundy Way, Dartford.

One person was said to have been seen brandishing what appeared to be a firearm.

The 18-year-old was arrested in St Vincent’s Road, Dartford, last Friday (July 14).

He has also been charged with possession of a bladed weapon and offensive weapon, as well as being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.

O’Riordan appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where he was remanded in custody, and is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, August 14.

A 20-year-old man who was previously arrested in connection with the incident remains on bail, pending further inquiries, until Monday, August 28.
