SPOOKY goings on at Dartford Library will be revealed tonight as part of a television ghost hunt.

Living TV’s Most Haunted team spent a night at the library last November and are promising a big surprise when their findings are screened this evening

The team’s paranormal powers were called upon by staff at the library in Market Street who for years have reported ghostly goings-on to rival even the scariest books on its shelves.

The ghostly Lavender Lady regularly strolls the corridors and staff rooms of the 90-year-old building. During the 1970s, she was famously heard stomping across the parquet flooring even though it was carpeted.

Her eerie presence has been a part of working life for dozens of staff, who have reported being suddenly overwhelmed by a strong smell of lavender and the feeling someone is standing behind them.

A crew from the show, which is fronted by Yvette Fielding, spent Thursday, November 30, at the library.

Richard Davidson, who oversaw their visit said: “They said certain parts of the library were very scary and I am so eager to see the episode, especially as there is a big surprise to be revealed.”

The show will be screened at 9pm on Living TV.
