Paintballs fired at vehicles on the A2 near Bean from a car

Drivers have reported paintballs being fired at their vehicles from a blue car as they drove along the A2 this morning.

Police were called just before 9.30am to a report that paintballs were fired at a van from another car travelling on the A2 coast-bound near Bean.

One woman who was on her way to work at 9am said two people had fired paintballs at her car while driving at 65mph.

Posting on Facebook she said: "They missed my window screen by inches and would have caused me to crash."

She said she had reported it to police and that the car is thought to be a blue Vauxhall Astra.

The vehicle has not yet been identified by police.
