CCTV released after man allegedly sexually assaulted woman and unrinated on train between Dartford and New Eltham

Police are looking for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman on a train after urinating in a carriage on board.

Officers have released CCTV images following the incident which happened on a train between Dartford and New Eltham.

It happened just after 2pm on Tuesday, April 4 as the service approached New Eltham station, a man travelling with a group urinated in the train’s carriage. He then threw a seat cushion at another passenger.

A woman boarded the service at the same station and the man approached her before making an inappropriate comment and sexually assaulting her.

The man then got off the train before it departed and left New Eltham station.

A spokesman for the British Transport Police (BTP) said: “Officers are keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images as he may have information that could help with their investigation.

“They are also keen to speak to anyone on board the train who may have witnessed the incident.”
