Dartford v Staines

Dartford have been hit by a triple suspension ahead of their Ryman League Premier Division clash against Staines on Saturday – their first at Princes Park for more than a month.

Striker Cody McDonald and midfielder Jamie Day sit out one-game bans, while Lee Noble starts a two-match lay-off, with boss Tony Burman drafting in James White, Danny Dafter and Brendon Cass as cover.

McDonald and Day’s suspensions have both been held up by the bad weather – Darts having not played for over a fortnight – after Day got the winner at Ramsgate to complete a productive December which earned them 12 points out of 15.

Middlesex club Staines are runaway leaders Dover’s nearest challengers and have as many as four games in hand on some clubs.

They beat the Darts 2-1 when the teams met at Wheatsheaf Park in September and Burman added: “I thought we were unfortunate not to get anything there on the day but they are a good side.”

Dartford report a clean bill of health injury-wise and he added: “We have been waiting all season for that and now the suspensions have hit us.

“We have to grin and bear things like that and get on with it.”
