Maidstone youngster Scott Wagstaff has returned to Charlton following his month's loan at AFC Bournemouth.

Wagstaff made seven appearances for the Cherries with the final one coming as a last-minute substitute in the 3-1 win at League 2 leaders Bradford City on Saturday.

As he arrived back, fellow midfielder Josh Wright joined Brentford on a month's loan.

Meanwhile, Charlton assistant manager Phil Parkinson is being strongly linked with a return to his old club Colchester who parted company on Monday with Geraint Williams.

Ex-Gillingham defender Joe Dunne and Kit Symons have been placed in charge for Colchester's weekend game at Tranmere.
