Amanda Goring of Diva Boutique adds festive glamour to High Street with Parochial School

Boutique owner Amanda Goring has added festive cheer to her end of the High Street, thanks to children from Deal Parochial school.

The trader, who owns Diva boutique, which also doubles as a hairdressing salon, has bought two Christmas trees and has positioned them outside her shop for passers-by to admire.

She said: “The children made their own decorations in their art classes, made out of lolly pop sticks, paper and felt.

“They brought them down with them and they decorated them here. It looks really nice.”

The plan was for them to sing carols while they worked, but they would have needed a street license. Yet it did not spoil the Christmas cheer.
