Dover recorded their first Blue Square Bet South home win since September, seeing off strugglers Lewes 4-0 at Crabble on Tuesday.

Twenty-year-old Harry Baker grabbed the first two goals, his opener officially timed at 49 seconds, while Adam Birchall scored the other two.

Baker, released by Leyton Orient at the end of last season, thumped home the quickfire opener, finishing well from Donovan Simmonds' pass.

Baker saw an effort blocked by Lewes keeper Chris Winterton, but the youngster got his second goal soon after, in the 40th minute, with another fierce strike.

Birchall and Luke I'Anson went close, before Dover extended their lead just after the hour, with Baker's run and cross finished well by Birchall.

Simmonds drilled an effort wide of the target, before Dover added their fourth four minutes from time.

Birchall was floored in the box by Andy Pearson, but allowed Baker the chance to complete his hat-trick from the penalty spot. However, Winterton saved the spot-kick, only for the predatory Birchall to knock in the rebound.
