A development of scores of new houses has hit the market.

A spokesman for estate agents Miles & Barr, which is marketing the property, said: "They are available to reserve off plan. Buyers reserving from plan will also receive £500 per month to put towards bills for a year."

Planning permission was given for the homes by Dover District Council in March 2020.

Work began on the development last August by housebuilder Dandara.

It will include a football pitch and clubhouse which Cinque Ports FC hopes to make its home ground.

The new homes are priced from £299,950.

The land had been the playing field of South Deal Primary School which was sold when the school amalgamated with Mongeham Primary in 2006.

It had been unused for eight years.

Other new developments offered through Miles & Barr include 12 houses at Driftwood Mews, Westgate-on-Sea starting at £325,000 and 14 at St George's Terrace, Herne Bay.

Meanwhile, the agents have also launched a development of two three-bedroom luxury chalet bungalows at Stonehall in Lydden, near Dover offered for £525,000.

There are two double bedrooms, one with an en-suite and the other with a built-in wardrobe, a family bathroom, and a storage cupboard. Upstairs is the third double bedroom with its own en-suite.
