A man faces "serious injuries" after being knocked to the ground at the weekend.

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Crabble Hill, Dover.

The 68-year-old man was knocked to the ground just before 5.30 pm on Sunday evening (8 December) near the junction with London Road and Crabble Road.

He was taken to Kings Hospital in London with serious injuries.

The road was closed until 8.50 pm while police carried out an investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or anything leading up to the collision is asked to call the Serious Collision Unit on 01622 798538.
