Two men have been arrested after an alleged early-hours assault in Deal.

Police are investigating the report of an assault in Queen Street that occurred at around 2.30am on Sunday.

They have arrested a 24-year-old man from Walmer and a 34-year-old man from Deal.

It is reported that two men assaulted another man causing injuries that required hospital treatment.

He is said to be in a serious, but not life-threatening condition.

Both men have been bailed to return to the police station on Saturday, September 16, 2016 pending further police inquiries.
