Audi driver seriously injured after crashing into tree on A258 between Deal and Dover

A man remains in hospital after the Audi he was driving crashed into a tree.

Police were called to the single-vehicle collision involving the black A3 model on the A258 between Dover and Deal yesterday morning.

The busy road was shut for several hours while officers and paramedics attended the scene at around 6.25am.

The man driving the vehicle was taken to a London hospital where police say he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses.

They would like to appeal for anyone who was driving in the area and has dash cam footage which might assist.

Speaking to KentOnline, Will Iggleden, who passed the accident yesterday morning, said he could see the black car through the trees and down the bank.

“As I passed there was a black car through the trees and down the bank into the dip on the left hand side approximately half way between the kennels and the gated entrance to Oxney Manor,” he said.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers would like to appeal for anyone who was driving in the area and has dash cam footage which might assist, to come forward.”
