Two dogs which belonged to a Dover man who was killed in a road accident have disappeared.

Police have appealed for information about the two long-haired Jack Russell terriers, called Jack and Ollie, which vanished during a walk in the wooded area of Elms Vale recreation ground last Wednesday.

They belonged to Michael Pritchard, who was killed in November in an incident involving a car at Princes Parade, Hythe. The dogs disappeared on what would have been his 50th birthday, and his family are said to be "very distressed".

A family member was walking the dogs at the time they went missing.

The dogs, which are father and son, are both predominately white, one with tan patches and one who has black and tan patches, and are aged five and three.

Both dogs are tagged, but do not wear collars.
